Most of you noticed that it’s been a long time I didn’t post anything on my blog and some of you even complained about that. Well, dear readers, I was offline because I was “renovating” the blog.
Today, ExpressJR is back with a new name and an improved design !

A new name: The JR Express

ExpressJR is now The JR Express and I would like to take advantage of this change to explain why I chose both words Express and JR in my blog name:
A blog is something really personal and related to the author of the post and his way of interpreting, analyzing and sharing the stuff he/she likes. Therefore, I thought that including JR, my initials, in my blog name will give it a “personal touch”.

The JR Express LogoConcerning the Express word I chose it because it has 3 different meanings that show what my blog is about:
First, Express as Expression since I express myself through my blog. Second, Express as X-press meaning press about multiple topics and categories because I blog about marketing, business, art, design, social media, creativity, social awareness etc… And third, Express as Quick showing that I don’t write long blog posts comparing to some other blogs where you will find articles 2 or 3 pages long.
Quick posts in which I express my opinion about different topics of my interest, all this explained in one word: Express.

Now concerning the symbol you can see in the blog’s header and as the blog icon, it is the symbol of the spider’s web more specifically, the symbol of Anansi (pronounced “Ah-nahn-see”) a well-known spider character in West African tales. I chose this symbol because it represents creativity and this is one of the main topics of my blog. I should note that the Anansi symbol also represents wisdom.

A new design: From simplicity to professionalism

As you may have realized I changed completely the blog’s design shifting from a simple and basic theme to a more professional and dynamic theme.

.
I wish you, readers, will like the brand new blog and feel free to give your opinion by commenting on this post !
