Few days ago, Burger King announced on their social media accounts that the fast food chain is now called Fries King. The logo and color palette would remain the same as they are just replacing “Burger” with “Fries”.
This is most probably a marketing stunt to promote their latest product launch: The Satisfries. Those new fries contain 40% less fat and 30% fewer calories. Many people directly realized that the rebranding was a marketing stunt but, there is still an important group of fast food consumers who seem to be confused.

The american fast food chain changed its logo across the social media platforms and posted pictures of a real branch that has been totally re-branded with the new appellation. I am not sure if this stunt is going to be efficient in boosting their fries sales or if it was just made for the sake of being creative. Also, is the move worth the confusion they created in the mind of some people out there?
