Vincent Falk Screen Puzzle: FlappyBird
I met Vincent Falk in London last November and discovered his photography skills. It’s not only his skills that I liked but, mainly his concept of “Screen Puzzle“: The Frenchman overlays other photographer’s shots that depicts actual news with his own pictures. Falk shares his own interpretation of the puzzle but, he invites others to have their own point of view providing them with a set of keywords.
Here is how Vincent explains his idea:
What if you could be anywhere at anytime, creating with everything and combining reality with abstraction to intensify the meaning?
Screen Puzzle is a continuous photographic blog which combines pictures of my own with others exctracted from the actuality, without photoshop. Therefore I can add depth and meaning to a recent event and its perception through the media by adding my work to it. A bit like a DJ remixing music. However the public is here let free to rethink the superposition created by using the few keywords accompanying the image. Hence he is able to derive his personal interpretation, just like solving a puzzle, the Screen Puzzle. Then by accessing the website he can check his thinking by refering to my personal interpretation when I created the picture.
Eventually this project allows me to be anywhere in the world at anytime, creating with everything and combining reality with virtuality to intensify meaning.
