Waiting for a pedestrian traffic light is all about fighting the temptation to cross while it’s still red. Needless to say it is very dangerous. Smart and BBDO Germany came up with a solution to make the wait more entertaining: A dancing traffic light. They installed a pedestrian traffic light, and the human figures in it are not as usual. They dance. That’s not all, the moves are dictated by random people dancing in front of cameras with kinetic sensors. They just have to enter a huge black box somewhere in the city and dance. This all happened in Portugal.

Trust me, with that you’ll be totally willing to wait for the “walk” guy. As part of their safety campaign #WhatAreYouFOR, this activation will help reinforce the “entertainment” value of the brand. Many people around the world will relate with this quite cool idea. It thus have a high potential of going relatively viral.
